Here's a little trick that might help you out. You take the lid from a coffee can or something similar - round, sort of clear plastic. Draw the shape you want onto the lid, then use a utility knife to cut out the shape (frog). You can place the lid with the cutout over the foam sheet. Use your utility knife to follow around the edge of the template while cutting the foam. If it's not too thick, you can cut several layers at a time. I've used this kind of template with Cub Scouts for some craft projects (not for fly tying yet) and they work very well. The only thing you have to watch is that you keep the outline as smooth as you can, I mean not a whole lot of details. The plastic isn't heavy enough. Hope this little trick helps. Greg Delker S.
