Was the book a British pattern book? The Undertaker is a good fly too. Try
it with a black body but a fluo green tail of either wool or floss. Takes
lots of fish here in the UK but they are old patterns. Try a White body /red
back/tail as a fry pattern for the Baby Doll. I think it got its name as Mr
Kench used wool for knitting baby clothes first off. Hence Baby Doll.
On the Q&D patterns there is a reservoir pattern used here that is called a
Blob. Its just a marabou tail and the body is fritz or estaz as you guys
call it.
