I bought a couple of the softsided tackle bags that most bass fisherman use
now. I use two of them and ALOT of Plano stow-away boxes to organize
different materials and what not. They work great. I am in the same
situation as you are -- all i have to tie on is my dining room table and
needed something i could throw stuff in when i am done. I picked up a small
Oasis Pedestal Base on eBay for $15 (they are normally $35 i think). This
holds all my tools and thread, hooks, beads, and acts as a pedestal for my
vise. I then keep all my other materials in the tacklebags and only break
out what i need. When dinner is ready, i pick up the Oasis Base (with all
my tools on it) and move it to the closet or onto a chair. It works out
great so far -- but am still holding out hope for my own tying room. Just
need to get the wife to agree ;>)
Thanks,
Matt Tucker

I was in Hargrove's looking at one of their $100+ fly tying kit bags that
was a slick as can be.
It had tubes built in to hold spools of thread...it had everything and about
the size of an
Attach. But then Tom handed me a mini duffle bag, with pockets everywhere.
He told me
It's what he uses. I've been happy with mine...I can put my Regal in, plenty
to material and
Tying tools. And they are inexpensive.
But...definitely not suitable for home storage of everything. Just a travel
solution.
