Hi Cat,
And welcome aboard, you have just entered the "Fly Tying University",
all the masters teach the classes and the students give them a hard time and
lots of questions. Actually in all seriousness you are now part of the
Largest Fly Tying Family, the amount of combined knowledge could right
volumes to fill the libraries, but is offered in good will, a little jest at
times and a never ending quest for friendship and camaraderie.
I look forward to your post's and contributions, new materials are tried
by everyone and shared for input, we are now finishing up a pet hair swap, I
tied a "Misty-Fied" fly, (with donations from one of our six cats Misty) and
my 11 year old Daughter Amanda is finishing up her "Gizzy-Moto" flies, her
first dry flies. The point of this is that everything is fair game and used
where it works, (and sometimes where it doesn't).

Again, welcome aboard,
Jimi

I'm Cat from northern Michigan, and I just joined today. I am really
enjoying the mail from the group! I just started tying flies....the
other day, in fact...:-)....and I am addicted already. I've tied about
10 flies so far. My boyfriend flyfishes and ties....and he is the one
who thought I would love tying....and even be good at it...hahaha We'll
see.... He gave me an early birthday present on Thursday......my own
fly tying equipment and materials! Everywhere I look now I see
potential material. My Golden Retriever is shedding now....and it sure
looks like dubbing to me!

Have a great evening, Everyone! I am tickled to be here to listen, ask,
and learn!

Hugs and Tight Lines,
Cat
