[VFB] I don't buy much at Fly Shops - Here's Why!

Hi Gang!   I buy most of my fly tying materials at Hobby Lobby.  WalMart has lots of this stuff too.  Michaels also carries lots of it and I'm reasonably sure other national craft chains would too.   Following is a list of things that  I buy from Hobby Lobby and prices as best I can remember. 1/2 pound hair on calf leather, approx. 1 foot X 2 feet  $6.99 other assorted real animal hair on leather - same size $ 3.99 to $6.99 saddles $2.97-several colors available marabou $1.50-big bunch-several colors available fancy feathers $1.99 20-30 ostrich feathers - 2 pk 8" $1.99 Pheasant tails $1.97 ea peacock feather w/eye/herl $1.97 5 different kinds eye feathers for salmon flies $ 2.00 for pack of 8 same kind) assorted other feathers $1.97/pack, big bag dubbing $.50 beeswax $50 sparkle yarn $1.99 - big bunch stuff similar to crystal flash $1.00 - big bunch stuff similar to amazing hair $1.00 - big bunch tinsel $2.00 spool rayon thread  $1.50 spool -100yds polyester thread -$2.95 - 100 yds bead wire - assorted colors $1.57, 30 ga 24 yds. .004  Coates & Clark nylon thread for furled leaders $1.95 spool -300 yds      transparent & gray available chenille - they have every color imaginable - huge bundle $6.50 eyes - the kind that move around, "rattle" and stationary ones $.10 to $.25 foam with adhesive backing 12" squares-just about any color you'd want $.95 beads - glass, metal, rainbow, gold, silver, etc. etc. - $1.97 pack of 80 I'll put it like this:   The only thing that I buy from fly shops (Austin Angler and White River Fly Shop at Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine, TX) are necks, leaders and fly line.  I buy all my hooks from Byard at LINESEND.
