Ah, the mighty smallmouth. Nothing against trout, but for me there is nothing like a good smally on the other end of the line. I am moving back to MO this summer, a little farther north than originally anticipated but still close enough for the weekend jaunt down to southern MO or northern AR.
As far as fish in a barrell, I plan on fishing the state parks but not on weekends and holidays. There is not much pressure on them during the week and you can have a blast. But I do have to like the creeks and rivers more, either way (wading or canoe). See you on the water.
