welcome to the group. On http://www.virtualflybox.com/faq.shtml you find a lot of infos how swaps work.
 
Listen to the list. Actually we have some open swaps. From time to time the swapmaster of the current swaps send a mail around asking for participants. If you are interested at a swap, reply to them with 'I'm in' or 'Count me in'. Tell them the pattern you want to tie. You will get an answer, if you are in or not.
Then tie the required number of flies, send them to the swapmeister and you'll get back a nice assortment of different flies.
Be aware that most of the swaps are delayed, but do not delay swaps <G>.

Hi all.
            I am new to the site could some one take a minute and explain in detail please how a swap works and how to get in one, I have been tying for 37 years so I am not a beginner and have tied commercially.
