I made some from macrame yarn that worked fairly well.  Take one strand,
tease it out the using flat waxed nylon, whip about 3/4-1", fold the whipped
section into a loop, whip about 3/16".  The unwrapped yarn is teased out a
bit more and trimmed.  Pull a loop of your leader through the loop in your
indicator, pass it over the indicator and pull the leader tight.  Coat with
floatant and go fishing.
