Bradley,
it depends how heavy your nymphs are but here is my suggestions:
1) Use a piece of Pink Yarn , greased with Mucilin tie it to your leader.
Works really well for Beadheads up to a size 12.
2) For Big Heavy nymphs, Use a yarn one. These are easy to make. You need
Globug Yarn, 25lb Mono, an some silicone waterproof spray. Can email you the
instructions off line.
3) Use a dry fly :-) - Check out the Indicator Swap patterns on my web site
:-)

Subject: [VFB] any ideas on strike indicators in a pinch
Date: Tue, 26 Mar 2002 17:07:50 -0800 (PST)
I need some ideas on strike indicators, I have some
store bought ones that work fine , but they cost 3-4
bucks for three i run into a lot of snags, and need
some ideas on constucting some with either foam or
deer hair or yarn im not quite sure how to tie a knot
to secure these creations to my leader any thought s
would be appreciated, i thought about buying some
foam and some two way tape and keeping it in my vest
for emergencies but iam not sure if the tape would
screw up my leader or if it would be just a big
hassle.
thanks,
bushwacker
