The dogwoods are starting to bloom here in SC, which can mean only one thing, CRAPPIE TIME !!!!!
I have never gone for crappie on a fly (intentionally, have caught a few while bream fishing). Any suggestions on gear, leaders, flies, ect.....
I plan on using a 5 wt that I bought as a set just the other week for $20.00. Its a med. action Shakespeare, nice rod great reel, for the price. No drag though, but it does have an exposed rim for drag control, and is all aluminum for strength. I got a WF5F line on it. I got a few sink tips and some 7-9 ft leaders.
I am open for any advice.
