Rene - take a look at Bill Pitts' ant pattern. He uses fibers from a fireplace broom and they look very realistic. We met up a while back and he gave me a handful, and I've been playing with them. They look really good. Not much action to them, though, so if you're looking for a fly where the legs move around with the current, these probably aren't the thing.
