Hi Rene
I believe it depend on the pattern you tie and it's size. There are lot of
variants:
knotted rubber legs. Also Edwards reccomended bend them with hot needle
knotted pheasant tail fibres
horse hair bended with hot tweezers
knotted biots
Keep tying

Subject: [VFB] Realistic legs

List,

How to tie realistic legs?

Had the oportunity to watch Oliver Edwards at a show. In his book he
recommeds to use water fowl feathers (or partridge body feather), glue them
with cement and bend them with heat. Hot tweezers or comparable. During the
show he used rubber legs and bend them with a sugical instrument - like a
small soldering iron, used for eyesurgerey.
I saw feather steams with some barbules on them as feathers. What are your
recommendations?
