You can make your own substitute with toluene (available in the paint
department in the hardware store) and either Shoe Goo II red label (in the
K-Wal mart shoe department and also sometimes in the tents) or clear
Polyseamseal Pro (clear sealant in a tube available in the floor cement,
sealant part of the same hardware store). It works great thinned about 2/3
toluene to 1/3 polyseamseal Pro. But, remember, this is very hard on your
liver so if you tie in a closed space, you won't want to use this. May I
suggest water soluable Polyurethrane by Minwax in clear satin or clear
gloss. I use this..a quart is about 6.00 and lasts a very long time..and the
water washup is neat when you spill it on your bench. Joyce
