knowing how Mr edwards thinks he probably gave the Latin name for the Hawthorn fly which is Bibio Marci. The Bibio in the last few post's is a wet fly that really does not represent a real fly at all. More likely to be a fry pattern. The hawthorn fly is a fly found suprisingly enough on Hawthorn bushes here in the UK and hatch around the late part of April. They are the first landbred fly that trout take as they are very poor flyers and get blown onto still and running water easily. the patterns you describe are Hawthorn patterns.
