Hi Del,
I have been using an 8WT. sinking line for Walleye, I also have a 7 wt
shooting head of lead core 13 gr to the foot and a running line that I
received from Dan and have been "learning" how to cast it. Main thing with
the shooting head is "Don't" false cast it. It takes some getting used to
but it will fly like a rocket, ( if you miss your head of course), and sink
like one as well. I still need to fabricate a "Shooting" basket, ( or
stripping basket), to try out.
Hope this helps,
Jimi

Have any of you used a shooting head/line? I was thinking about getting
one
for lake fishing where I have trouble getting a lot of line out. This will
be
for an 9WT rod I plan on ordering soon. White bass and stripers are hard on
a
5WT.
     Any comments, suggestions, experiences welcomed.
