Nearby you have the Wautauga and the South Holston Tailwaters fisheries - these are near Bristol and Elizabethton - both about 1/2 hour drive. I've only been there once but it's a beautiful area to fish. Some of the most pleasant fishing is right in the middle of Elizabethton at a city park.
