I built some extended body coffin flies and march brown spinners with it when I was in the Catskills a week ago. Blended some white with black for the mottled spent wings...and furled extended bodies with it. Blended white and yellow for the coffins...brown and yellow for the march browns. I didn't have any brown with me so I used a Prisma marker and colored some of the white. It takes the color well. Tied them on Daiichi #1150 Up-Eye Scud hooks. And the flies WORKED! The best (of many) landed on it was a feisty 19" wonderfully colored brown. keep tyin'...byard
