Aunt Lydia's is very flashy..I use it lots in dubbing ( chopped fine as
previously mentioned) and also as the wings on almost all of my dry flies
that I tie for my own use. I unwind the strand of 3 and use that strand for
size 14, 16 flies. One half of that strand is the right amount for 18, 20s
and 22s. Tie it in with figure of eight across the shank, then lift it up
and give it a wrap and it becomes the wings on Adams, Royal Wullfs, etc. You
can actually run a bit of black permanent pen across it and it looks even
more like the hackle tip wings of Adams. I use it a lot for the wing post of
my parachute flies. It handles and ties down a bit better than Phentex yarn
does, and has a better flash. Hope this helps. BTW..it is not actually
Antron yarn, though it does have good flash. Antron is true trilobal yarn
and is a proprietary item. Hope this helps. Joyce

PS: I couldn't be without Aunt Lydia's. It is also the body on many of my
steelhead flies..check out the Gaudy Lady in the swap from several years ago
on Jan Furuly's home page. That's pure orange Aunt Lydia's.
