Tom, as someone has already pointed out, high-sticking isn't the easiest
method to grasp. It does eliminate casting but the visual and or "touch"
clues aren't always obvious to beginners. Next time have them try the
"stupid Johnny" technique of making a couple of GENTLE strikes as the
nymph slides through the pocket. Cheers,
