The person doing the ridiculing is a "big wig" with Michigan State University in their conservation department. Another list member pointed out that maybe the MSU "big wig" was mistaken and it was someone from FFF.

It's too bad to hear that about the TU chapter - having been involved
with TU somewhat at the state level in MI, that's not their intention,
and they will gladly have C&W people join the group to improve coldwater
fishery for ALL! And considering I nailed a nice smallie and perch over
the weekend with my C&W rod, and then a pretty brookie with my fly rod,
I fall into that!
