Hi John, There are boat ramps in many many places along the river. Since I always wade, I can't point you to a specific set. However, you can get a full list of access points on the web. Check out this site:

If it was me with a new pontoon boat, I would beat feet right to the Juniata River, where it empties into the Susquehanna at Duncannon. Then drive upriver along the Juniata for as far as you wish to float. There are boat ramps about every ten miles. Alternatively, putting into the Susquehanna at Duncannon and taking out at Marysville will be an excellent day, with lots of islands, rock structure, and holes. Some other possibilities in Maryland include just below the Conowingo dam down to Susq. State park or through to Havre de Grace. If you go to the Juniata, be sure to stock up on crayfish patterns, absolutely positively and definitely. It's crayfish heaven.
