John,   You are in for a treat! Especially on the pontoon boats. I go every year and do floats on segments below and above Duncannon. Duncannon is where the Juniata meets the Susky. LOADED with smallmouth. Guys with fly rods catch over 60 fish in one day.   Here are some suggested floats:   1. Montgomery Ferry access  to the River Front Campground in Duncannon (five mile float) 2. Duncannon to the Village of Cove - launch from the middle of town near the ice cream parlor (dirt road that goes under the railroad tracks) (four mile float)   Also talk to the folks at Blue Mountain Outfitters.
