Hello John, 

Here's another handy dropper technique that allows for very quick
addition or removal of the dropper.  Instead of tying directly to the
dry hook bend, first tie a loop in that end of the dropper line. 
This makes your dropper look a little like those rigged snelled
hooks. 

When you add the dropper to the dry, you hang the dropper's loop over
the bend of the dry with a Ring hitch, also known as a Lark's head or
a Cow hitch.  This can also be removed very quickly without cutting
or untying.
