OK, it's almost 10pm here in Phoenix, I've read the posts about Peta (I prefer it as an unleavened pocket bread used for sandwiches) and comments about other save the whatever groups. But I can't talk about fishing cause I have not been on the water in nearly a month. Sooo, how about an imaginary trip to a high mountain stream. A small one, I can see it through the trees with a waterfall cascading just above me and a beautiful deep blue pool below the crashing falls. Are you with me? I have my little Sage 3wt loaded with a 2wt line, I will need the softest presentation if I have any hope of fooling one of these beautiful wild trout. It is just starting to get dark and fish are beginning to rise after little tan Caddis flies, about size 16.
>From my vantage point on the left bank and just below the pool I can see the fish attacking those little Caddis as they struggle to free themselves from the surface film. No wind, it's deathly quiet, perfectly calm, the water is crystal clear, stealth is my only ally. Maybe, just maybe, if I can get close enough a perfect cast may result in a savage attack on my fly by one of those beautiful rising wild trout. What? No dear I am not looking for more tying materials to buy on ebay, really!!! Well, I'm just, Ok I'm turning the light out right now. Fantasy over, night all.
