I did the same thing once on a little beaver pond I was fishing for trout.
The bats were out flying around one nabbed my fly right out of the air and I
actually had to reel him in. It was a cute little furry one and I was able
to catch & release with no problem. I wish I had a camera I would imagine I
looked pretty funny laughing hysterically and reeling in a bat...
