Ok Don O

Thank you very much for the detailed breakdown of the equipment used.

Just so that I understand the leader end of the flyline, I understand that
you have 3-4 feet of 40 pound test mono running leader connected loop to
loop with the flyline, connected to 20 pound test class tippet which in turn
is connected to 4 feet of 80 pound test shock tippet. Is there a hinging
problem with this?

1) what method do you use to join the 40 pound test running leader to
the 20 pound test class tippet? what knots do you use to install the ball
bearing swivel between the class tippet and the 80 pound test shock tippet?

2) What length is the class tippet?

3) what is the quick-loop knot at fly? is there another name for this knot?

I am amazed at the amount of backing (700 yards) for the 14 weight outfit.
It must be quite heavy!

Thanks again Don...................Neville Gosling, Greater Vancouver, B.C.
