Hey Dave-

Just headed out the door myself. Re patterns, as far
as I know, go with the standards for steelies on the
Deschutes, Freight Train, Macks Canyon, Green Butt
Skunk, etc. Your guide should be able to advise you.

One thing I've been told by more than one person is
that it doesn't do much good to contstantly switch
patterns around like for trout hoping for the winner.
I was told to pick a reliable pattern and work it,
presentation is most of the deal.

Good luck, let us know how you do. Gotta run.

                          -John

The River-
You passers-by, who share my journey,
You move and change,I move and am the same;
You move and are gone, I move and remain.
