Hey Jimmy:
I have to correct you. The motorcycle that you rode
was a Norton Dominator not Denominator. The
Dominator 88 SS (aka Domi 88) was a 497 c.c. o.h.v. twin,
while the 650 SS was the larger 647 c.c. o.h.v. twin. I used to
ride and own a 1965 Norton 745 c.c. Atlas. I am reading this
from an AMC ( Associated Motorcycles Corporation) catalogue of Norton, AJS and
Matchless maotorcycles of circa 1965. I could add that I sometimes miss that hot
throbbing feeling between my knees, but I better
not.................
Now, we better have some fly fishing content, so I
am going to tie the Lady McConnell for the second midge swap. It was designed by
Brian Chan of Kamloops and therefore is a true Canadian pattern. Incidentally
Jimmy, I didn't get a rise from you to my earlier dig about Texas size mayflies.
For those who want to learn a good midge pattern see http://www.coastnet.com/~rpike/oct01.htm
