amadou is a tree grown fungus that is cut into strips and boiled in "strong
urine" for three days. when dry it is absorbent and used to dry flies. can
be boiled in potassium permanganate instead.
wonder what they were trying for with the orriginal recipee??
O.K. So what is an Amadou patch.
