John I tied up some comparaduns for grayling last winter -- the grayling loved them and they float like a cork.
They were a lot of fun to tie -- and since I too have problems tying winged mayflies -- these were much easier and very rewarding to tie because I didn't have to fool around with those itty bitty feather wings. But grayling aren't picky. Can you use this style of fly for most any mayflies? I am tying for spring and would like all of my duns to be in one style or type this year. I am leaning toward parachute style with hi viz wing but have always been interested in the comparadun. Any and all opinions are welcome. > > thanks > john ridderbos
