I bought and used one this past season.  I have the
waterproof model with inserts to fit smaller flies on
side and another to fit larger ones on the other (I
think 6 rows and 8 rows).

I'm thinking about getting the same size one with
slits on one side and compartments, to hold dries
loosely, on the other.

The slits work wonderfully.  The flies never get lose.
 Flies stay put and are not damaged.  Perfectly
arranged everytime (since the slits force the fly to
sit perfectly vertical).

I would say the only downfall is their rather steep
price.  They're well made though and should last a
very long time.
