I never thread a worm on a hook.  I always use a treble hook and skewer him on all 3 points.  I also use a snap swivel, so I can undo it and skewer the worm over the eye of the hook too, then snap the swivel back on.   Tough to loose a worm this way.

I never thought of doing it that way, gonna have to give it a try next time I decide to "Go drown a worm." What size treble do you use?
