[VFB] Christmas report.

Just a quick note about Christmas. First the only fly fishing related gift I got was the bookends my sister gave me. They are fly reals mad of plaster, one is a large arbor and the other a standard reel. Second of all I had asked for info on Cabela's rods for my nephew, my sister ordered the Three Forks 5wt combo. He was very excited about it when he opened it, I helped him load the real (ok I tied all the knots and loaded the line while he held the line). We took it out in the front yard and did a little casting with a piece of yarn on the end of the leader. By the time we were done (20 minutes) the yarn was a piece of ice. I do have to say that for a $49.00 rod and reel combo it casts really good.   All in all it was a nice Christmas with family.   Jim Burbank   P.S.  Jimmy I feel your pain, did the kidney stone thing a few years back. Hurt so bad that I wanted to rip the head board off the bed and throw it through the wall.
