I had a nice fly fishing oriented Christmas. My wife surprised me with a
vest I'd been eyeing. My father-in-law gave me his old outfit, a 7 wt
fenwick rod and an orvis battenkill mark iv reel. My dad got me a rod &
reel back around Thanksgiving (had to take advantage of the outdoor
world sale). My mom & stepfather gave me a reel winder, and my
mother-in-law subscribed to a couple of magazines for me! No complaints
here, I was truly blessed this Christmas!

And of course the greatest gift (and reason for it all)

"But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of
great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a
Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. " "

For Christmas I scored a Renzetti Cam Traveler Pedestal vise, the
Advanced
Rod Building book, a "Bite Me" t-shirt, a Brodin Cutthroat Fight net,
and
a digital camera so that I can shoot a shot of my fly tying mess for the

next mess photo swap.
