Almost embarrassed to tell you !! Please don't throw me off the list

Bread Fly:

Use any 2x, 3x long dry fly hook. I prefer turn down eye.

bread fly. fold over furry foam two or three times into small square,
using a little spray contact cement in between layers..
Thread hook into and out of bottom layer. Attach thread at front
of fly, just catch a little of the bottom layer with a few wraps,
whip finish. . If you are in a hurry, just super glue the entry and exit
point of the hook.

Blade of Grass:

Use any 2x, 3x long dry fly hook. I prefer turn down eye.

Take a piece of green swiss straw. Tie on top of
the hook near the eye. DONE. Or glue it on with
super glue or Zap-a-Gap.

I usually wait until someone cuts the grass and the carp start feeding and
then grab the
4 wt that is ready on the back porch. When the carp start gulping, I start
casting !!

I do not use or tie the berry flies. They are used further south in the
canals
in and south of Miami. There are bushes that hang over the canals and the
berries drop in the water and evidently the carp (amur) love them.
