I live in the Washington DC suburbs. We have a fair amount of stocked trout, but
mainly bass, cats, and panfish. Some others, but these represent the main supply of
fish during the year.

We have a lot of people who fish for a large part of their diet. These people
seriously eat a lot of fish, and they use whatever means will put food on the table.

Unfortunately, much of our water "inside the beltway," isn't real clean and eating a
lot of fish creates some health problems. In spite of this, people still use local
fish as a large part of their diet.

Folks who haven't experienced need and want have a hard time getting past the news
stories about government hand outs and such crap, and seeing that there are people in
real need even in urban centers.
