NEVILLE & PAUL,

Here's a little something more on this thread... We SO CAL FLYFISHERS (this does include Chris Brommell) are using the Squamish Poacher in the Surf Zone with effective results.. Frank, owner of His & Her Flyshop in Orange County "introduced" me to the effectiveness of this B.C. Steelhead pattern for the Perch,Croaker,Bass, Hailbut & pretty much anything else in the surf zone of Southern california. We still call it the Squamish Poacher, thought some guys just refer to it as the Poacher...

Thought you'd be interested.. I'm staying clear of that Gap vs. Gape arguement. next thing you know they'll be fighting over Tyer vs. Tier... geez.....

Thanks Paul. Although the alliteration of Lester the Lobster may
sound fine, it is a pity that the name has been changed.
Another example of name change. This time by region.
I know the originator of the Squamish Poacher and live
within walking distance of his house.

Neville, you may be interested to know that the Squamish Poacher moved
east and became Lester the Lobster. Colours slightly different but same
tie. Has proven itself on rainbows and Atlantics, particularly in cold
water when fished near the bottom. Cheers,
Paul
