Actually I tie them on a #12 long shank and then wash the in "Very Hot"
water so they shrink...;-o

Use micro chenille if you insist on chenille, but a rope dubbed peacock herl
body does wonders.  you can even wind in the hackle in the same step.  Turns
out EXCELLENT wolly buggers.  There is a link somewhere on VFB to learn this
method.
