I do a really spiky hare's ear or squirrel fur twisted between two strands of krystal flash..works really good and adds a bit of sparkle. You can also do a spin (rope dub per Don O) with your Norvise or rotary vise accomplishing the same thing..add the Krystal flash to the thread as you spin on the spiky dubbing. Joyce
