For the eyes I used a piece of .025 inch lead wire...about 2mm in length...tied in as a "normal" eye. I used calf tail for the "body hair" and a few strands of Awesome Hair for the flash along the lateral line.
Chris What did you use to weight the fly? Did you just use burned mono and allow the fly's natural weight to try and sink it?
