Although you asked for responses off-line, thought I would answer on-line and also pose a question to the group. I find Stevens' book, Trout and Terrestrials, worth the price, even though it is British and some flies/insects aren't found or aren't common in the States (or Canada - you're from frozen Edmonton, right?)
For the list (and in keeping with Byard's attempt to keep this a fly-tying list), wondering what other book resources exist for Terrestrial patterns besides these three: Tying and Fishing the Terrestrials by Wilson (I consider it dated but still an interesting curiosity), Tying and Fishing Terrestrials by Almy (a basic "classic"), and Terrestrials by Steeves & Koch (best I've found).
Are there other Terrestrial-based pattern books out there? And I suspicion there are "pet" patterns among the VFB members - maybe a book in progress?

Does anyone own the book Trout and Terrestrials by Lou Stevens? If so I would like to know if it is worth purchasing, the local shop doesn't have so my only option is getting it online. Any info would be helpful, please contact me off list.
Thanks,
Bart
