Yup, sounded right, except the part 'bout where you send one extra, so a set gets sent to Byard, our host, as well. OH, and don't forget to tag 'em (if that's what the swapmiester wants).

What ever did happen to Alan?

"Excellent" report my friend, now we have to find out what happened to Alan
?? It has been cold here all day today, low 40's and my shoulder hurts like
hell. It was good to hear some got to do what I wish I could do right now.
As to "Swaps". I will try to give a short description. A person hosting
the swap, the "Swapmiester" sets the # of tiers and a due date. The tiers,
( say 15 plus the Swapmiester) each tie 15 flies. When they are received by
the "Miester" they are sorted so each tier gets 1 of everyone else's flies
and the Swapmiester also gets 1 of each, ( except your own fly). It is
normal to include the cost of shipping with your flies, that way the
Swapmiester doesn't have to put any extra $$ into getting them back to the
participants.
Did that sound right folks ???
Thanks again and glad you got some tight lines, BTW, watch the cactus next
time...8o0))

Its 4:30 here in AZ, just got back from the river. I spent 3 hours on the
water. I could only come up with 2 Rainbows, 1 (small) Largemouth & a
several
Bluegill. The people that control the waterflow from the dams have got the
flow shut down to almost nothin. Makes it kinda tough. I never did run into
Alan, I would have liked to meet him (Also could have used some advise on
how
to get-em to bite). I could see bunches, but they could also see me. It
probably didn't help,(the screamin fit I put on) when I backed into a pile
of
jumpin cactus right in the middle of a cast! It took some time to regain my
composure after doing surgery on my backside with a pocket knife &
hemastats.
After almost an hour with nothin hittin, I remembered what my uncle used to &n sp;
say, "When nothin else works, tie on the Rootbeer Woolyworm". I guess he was
right, that was the only thing that seemed to work.
Jimi, hope this works for a fishin report, I probably would have stayed
longer but, all I had was cut-off shorts & tennis shoes. My toes started to
turn into prunes! Had to give em a rest.
I am still very new to this website, I am interested in learning more about
these "swaps" I keep reading about. Is there someone that can give me more
info?
