Hey everyone. I just saw Dave's post about playing golf yesterday. I only live about an hour south of Dave. I went fishing yesterday...one of the more beautiful days that we have seen around here lately. I went out to Santa Barbara harbor with a friend and fished for about 3 hours. We caught somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 dozen fish apiece. This is not a usual occurrence, so it was quite fun!
Most of the fish that we were catching were walleye surfperch and barred surfperch. The walleyes are not very big...about hand size (depending on your hand size!) The barred perch can get quite large (though most of them in the harbor aren't very big). Still....lots of fun with a good friend in wonderful weather with an incredible view. Sort of like fishing for bluegill on the beach. I hope that everyone is well. It will be interesting to hear about the frenzy of activity from all of you weather-bound people when it starts to warm up in your respective areas! About that time Dave and I will be starting to grumble about the tourists! Best to all, Chris
