Hi Gary

Hi have a Bucks Bag South fork wwhich is similar to the ones that Cabelas sell. It works well. I have a friend who has floated the Missouri with his. It has oars. I don't use mine very much.

I also have the Hobbie Cat that Cabelas sells with the oars.  I also have a Hobbie Caat that is smaller than the one that Cabelas sells. I am not real heavy so the smaller one works fine. I use it most of the time. It doesn't have oars which can be a problem if the wind blows me away. I use the little one most because on the Blackfoot Reservation if it has oars you have to wear a life jacket and I prefer not to wear one. I also like it because it doesn't have to blown up it has solid pontoons. I can also handle fairly strong wind with the little one.

I see guys with the larger ones out in strong winds also. The two Hobies will fit in the back of a short box pick, where the 8 ft ones need to be let down a little to get in. Which really isn't that much of a problem if you have a two stage hand pump.

Has anyone had experience with pontoon style kick boats like the ones sold
by Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops?

Thanks.
