John-
I have one and I love it. I got it mainly to cut down on the amount of junk I had with me on the stream (my vest weighed as much as a small child). The Cabela vest holds everything I need right up front and handy,. while the back area holds a jacket if I need it. The only problem I found was that if there's nothing in the back, the front portion tends to sag, since I didn't want to throw a bunch of rocks in the back just to counterbalance it, I took some nylon webbing I got at GI Joe's and sewed two loops to the bottom edge of the back part and run my wading belt through them.
To sum it up, I heartily recommend it. The price and quality can't be beat. Also, if you try it and don't like it Cabela's will take it back as long as it is still in new condition.

Does anyone own one of the cabelas deluxe chest vests offered on page 118 of the cabelas fly fishing catalog? I am wondering if you own onw if you like it? What is the quality like? etc. For 40 bucks it looks pretty nice. I had a chest pack before that I didnt care for. IT zippered up the front between two bags and since the front always outweighed the back it was constantlystraining my neck. Any opinions are helpful
