John don't let a few jerks who contribute nothing to this list upset you, I can understand why you are and you have every right to be, in my humble opinion. I, for one, enjoy reading your responses to questions that arise and yes you are one of the first ones to offer suggestions and advice on a number of topics, without the name calling. If you chose to "remove" yourself I feel it would hurt the list and even hurt those of us who respect you as a tier a fly fisher and a person. So don't let those people sour you on the rest of us.
