He has made a motorized set up and the furl is somewhat different. It is tighter than 
most. He also has a mini loop on each end that is woven in the leader.
The furled leader will make a smoother loop and lay out straight.
I am not the best caster but it makes me look like a pro. In the three years I have 
used the furled leader I really can't remember a wind knot or a tangle.
He did originally talk to Claud and made some improvements. You might ask Martin 
Westbeek about the setup.
I think he made one close to it. Martin got to spend some time with Skip on my back 
porch making leaders after the Sowbug last year.
