I learned from http://www.globalflyfishers.com (or perhaps it did not have
an s) There is an excellent article on furled leaders and following those
instructions, I made a leader board. If you go to Hans site you can find
more information as he has a friend who doesn't use a board but had the pegs
put into bits of board and then lays these out as he wants them to be..the
whole thing fits in a suitcase. (Hans..kindly help here and fill in the
details of the site). I made a piece of wire to fit in my drill and use
that to do the twisting, then hang the board up and let it unwind after
putting a hemostat clamp on each end. It only takes a few minutes. Try it
out..I think you will really like the way that they turn over and let the
fly land gently on the stream. Of course, you add whatever length and size
tippet you want..I usually add 18-20 inches of 5-6X. Hope this helps. Joyce
