Now just WHY in the world did you go and do that?
A card and "Stress-reliever kit" will be in the mail tomorrow. But I wanted you to know that you were prayed for in our church this morning during communion. And now a wee 'lecture':
Remember the tale about the man sitting on the roof-top as the flood waters were rising? Lots of preacher-men use it:
A guy came along in a row-boat and offered a ride.
The guy on the roof said, "No thank you, the Lord will provide."
About the time the water was lapping at his feet, a motor boat came by to save him.
The guy on the roof said, "No thank you, the Lord will provide."
As the water was up to his waist, a police helicopter dropped a line to him. The guy on the roof said, "No thank you, the Lord will provide."
As he was entering heaven, the guy encountered God and said, "I put my faith in you. What happened?"
God said, "Well, I sent you a row-boat, a motor-boat and a helicopter. What did you want?"
Moral: "Also he wants me to"Slow" down, ( gee, what other doctor have I heard that from), and also try to stop worrying and reduce my stress level,"
There's at least TWO warnings in that sentence. Could God's hand be behind them?
End of 'lecture'.
God Bless and may your recovery be rapid. We all care.
