Remember, your nearest knitting/needle work store has wonderful Persian yarn
skeins, about 2.50 apiece, in every color of the rainbow. Us a bit of the
appropriate color skein with your animal hair for wonderful, easy to dub
dubbing. They have a great rusty spinner color, good yellows, olives..any
color you desire. And you can make literally thousands of flies from this
color combo. When I mix dubbing, I try and get one skein that is lighter and
one a bit darker and one the actual color that I want, then blend small
amounts of the lighter and darker with the main color. I believe that this
is more effective on the stream as colors in nature are always a combo of
